WORK EXPERIENCE
STAGE MANAGER | ASIAN ARTS FESTIVAL
Dec 2021
Being the stage manager for the Asian Arts Festival has equipped me with a lot of eye-opening experiences. There were often high stress situations that I needed to navigate, from sound mishaps to calming down children and anxious parents. This was a job that may have been short-term, but left me with a lot of lasting impressions and lessons such as staying focused and working efficiently.
TEA BARISTA | RNB
Jan 2019 - Apr 2019
As a tea barista at RNB, I would run the cashier and make drinks and toppings for customers. I would assist with the closing and cleaning of the outlet I was at, and served customers to provide a pleasant experience to leave them with a good impression of the brand. I would also help to monitor any new staff members. Working this job has taught me a lot about interacting with customers and working under pressure/high-stress situations.
BARISTA | JEWEL COFFEE
Jan 2019 - Aug 2019
As a barista at Jewel Coffee, I would run the cashier, make drinks and plate food for customers. I also did opening and closing of the outlet, so this included setting the place up, then cleaning and counting profit at the end of the day. I interacted very closely with customers because they would stay at the shop for longer periods, and also monitored and guided any new staff members. This job taught me a lot about serving customers and providing them with positive experiences.
SERVER | MENAGE CAFE
Aug 2019 - Dec 2019
As a server, I would run the cashier, serve food and beverages, as well as make drinks for customers and food for their pets. I cleaned the shop very often, especially during closing, and as a pet-friendly cafe, I had to be careful in interacting with the animals as well. This job taught me how to adapt to my environment, work with different people and work efficiently.
